Christmas 2010 wrap-up

Published over a year later, so I really don't have much to say about these photos, but this blog is one way that I backup my photos, so it's good to at least get these uploaded! Christmas was definitely a whirlwind with leaving for Japan just one week later. We didn't even get a chance to take down our tree or decorations, thankfully my parents did that for us. Although it was enjoyable and the kids had a blast, but it wasn't nearly as relaxing as it was this year (*2011).

Abby shows off practically every decoration when we trimmed the tree.

thanksgiving

Well, I had high hopes of making a thanksgiving dinner in my new house and getting everything unpacked...yeah right! I am still unpacking. I did manage to unpack enough of my kitchen things to be able to make dinner that day (it didn't help that I had to thoroughly clean the kitchen before being able to use any of the cupboards, etc. And I thought I was filthy. Anyways, we did have a fun time and both parents came for dinner. My mom helped de-grode (is that a word? google is telling me no...) the kitchen and my dad helped with some projects around the house too. My parents stayed the night and then my mom and I got up at about 4:45 for our annual black-friday trip. Since Chad went to work, I came home to relieve my dad around 12:30 after shopping for approximately 7 hours. Then when Chad got home around 4:00, I went out for another 7 hours or so:) And that was our thanksgiving!

Tristan tries the cranberries (and went back for more):

Ever since the picture people, this is Abby's favorite pose:

last but not least

My little kindergartner. My goofball. My firstborn. My boy. And he is so boy. He loves sports, loves outside, loves to run and play rough. Loves messes and thinks smelly is cool. This last Sunday Chad asked if he wanted to watch football and he exclaimed "I love Sunday football!!" And he hoots and hollers for our team too, I just love it.
We're getting to that cheesy grin stage...

And the silly faces...

that's a bit better...

But this one really melts my heart :)
