Little league baseball season

Jamie had a great season with his baseball team this year.  He didn't get any practices before his first game (minus a short 45 minute session with his coach), but he still did really well, especially at fielding.  He was a bit slow with his batting at first but by the end of the year he was getting a hit almost every game.  His coach and his team and the parents were great,  so it was a little disappointing when the short season that he had was over.  We really had fun time hanging out at Ross field twice a week!

June friday night races

Every Friday in June (and one in May) this year, we headed down to Port Orchard and participated in the 6-pack series of races (so-named because you receive a 6-pack of beer if you win).  No 6-packs for us this year but we had a fun time and spent the night on the boat each Friday.  Actually, there was one race that wasn't so fun when we collided with another boat prior to the start.  Let's just say that we fished a hunk of his boat out of the water and didn't see him at any other race.

The kids seemed to get right back into school when we returned and Tristan was even a bit disappointed as he only had a few weeks of preschool left.

Abby got to be teacher for a "day" (30 minutes) and Tristan got to be a student while I was helping out

Tristan and I attended field day at Jamie's school. His classmates were great at cheering on "little brother" and giving him high-fives!
