Odawara castle (April 18th)

Charles and Arwen had their own agenda for the day so we took our last Saturday as a family day in Odawara.  Our first stop was to feed the carp in the moat surrounding the castle.  There was a gentlemen there that gave each the kids a handful of fish food.

Then it was off to see the castle itself and to go through the museum inside it.

Getting ready for some selfies.

How about the whole family?

Almost there

Great shot!

We got some great views from the observation deck of the castle

Tristan is looking at brochure about all the castles in Japan.  He asked if we could see all of them before we leave (in less than 2 days!)

After we were done at the castle, there was a small amusement park where Chad took Tristan on a little train ride and I got some ice-cream for Jamie and Abby.  Then we headed off towards the beach, and Chad found a convenient store and bought us back some snacks.

Abby builds her own stone circle!

And finally we ended the day with dinner at a Chinese restaurant.
