Welcome Tristan Michael

One week old today! Born Jan 27th at 8:59 a.m. He was 7lbs 7oz and 19" long, definitely a runt compared to his siblings!

Here we are, waiting to go into surgery:

First picture of Tristan:

Just a little guy!

Back in our room:

Jamie and Abby come to visit with Grandma and Grandpa:

Abby wanted to hold him "by herself":

We had one nurse who really knew how to swaddle him tight, he looked kinda ridiculous but I think he really liked it!

December wrap-up

Christmas celebration for Chad's family

The 3 princesses:
Just look at her excitement!

And look at those cheeks!

Abby loves her headbands.

What did Walter get? A new watch maybe...

and Amalia is guarding her princess dresses from Kate (even though they got the same thing)

A day out with daddy
During the cold weather, Chad took the kids out onto the lake and let them explore the ice.

Trying out the high-ISO setting on our new nikon, Chad took this photo while night-sailing with James:

Jamie's birthday

First he had a boys only, bowling party with Finley, Otto, Isaac, dad and grandpa:

and then on New Years Eve, we had a small party at mom&dad's. We even had a few fireworks that we let off, but nobody was able to make it to midnight this year!

Christmas day

Christmas morning
The kids actually didn't wake up until almost 8 and then the funny thing was they had forgotten what day it was. They went out to the living room and proceeded to turn on Curious George. I had to go out there and say "hey, do you kids notice anything different??" I took a shower and then we all opened our gifts. Abby was just completely entralled in the gift opening, it didn't really matter what was inside. One box she couldn't get open so she just tossed aside and went for another gift.

Chad was so cool and got me and the kids stainless steel drinking straws:
I'm figuring out that I got Abby Lite Brite because I wanted to do it :)
Can you see the homemade gift tag?
Every five-year old boy's dream, a dart blaster!
Abby's horsies:
Further reducing the plasticides in our house, I got Chad a BPA free nalgene bottle:

Mom's house
At about 1 pm, we headed over to my mom's for the rest of day. Of course the kids enjoyed opening their gifts from grandma and grandpa, and also from the Labani's.

Dad did a bunch of electical work on the boat (the 22) for Chad:

Abby is in awe of her princess shoes:
There's the rocket-belly!
We had a very lazy day, watching both new movies that the kids got from Aunt Carrie:

We set up Jamie's new racetrack in the kid's room:
