Last weekend we went out to Mission Beach hoping for some sun (it was sunny at the apartment after all), but instead all we saw was fog. Consequently, that made it just a bit too cold and we only lasted about 2 hours before packing up and heading over to Kojack's (the best place to get Greek food, specifically gyros). We then headed home where Abby promptly threw-up her lunch all over the carpet (my dad thinks she was carsick due to Chad's erratic driving). That excluded, it was a pretty nice day!
Well, let's just say March went by way too fast and I certainly wasn't getting enough sleep to be able to blog about it. So here's the recap, and stay tuned for February's recap soon (I'm working backwards thru my pictures).
Here is Chad's goatee just before he shaved it off: Chad, Tristan and I traveled across the ferry to Seattle for my 6-week postpartum check-up. After the appointment we shopped at Trader Joe's then went to Wild Ginger for dinner. I also got to go to Sur La Table and a cool cupcake shop for dessert. One VERY windy day, Chad, dad and Jamie went out on the Catalina 22. It was really rough so Jamie had to spend his time inside the cabin with his lifejacket on, but give him a DVD player and he could care less :)
Chad and I went out on our first date without Tristan. We sailed a bit around the bay, watched the sunset, then headed back and ate dinner at Silver City.
(the only reason I was willing to freeze out on the boat...) Chad took the kids to the nearby park (yes, all of them). I edited the photos with PW 70's action for a change of pace, as we have SO many pictures with the kids at this park :)
Amalia and Kate had a joint birthday party at Sara and Steve's house. The princess cakes were really cool and a great idea (all you need is to make a cake in a bowl, stick a naked princess doll into the upside-down cake, then frost accordingly). I did a faded look with these photos as the originals had an orange glow and still looked bad even when I tried a cooling filter. Princess wand cookes!
Grandma gets to hold Tristan: and of course Abby wants a turn too! A few cute pictures outside as Spring makes it way to WA. I used PW Vintage action for these.
At first I was wondering what this video was all about, then I watched the next one and figured out that Jamie had swiped my camera!
Back in March, Chad took the older 2 kids for the day so that I could scrapbook with some friends. They went with Grandma and Grandpa to Blake Island for the day on their sailboat. Exploring. Finding sticks. And shells. And rocks. Fishing with a net. Climbing. Fishing with a pole. Being cool. Being pretty. Direct quote from Abby "Grandma Debbie. I wike her. She my friend."
