fun at the lake

So the lake not exactly bath tub temperature these days but the kids still have fun playing in it. Abby and Sydney set up all the dinosaurs and "stuff" first on the beach, then the float, and then the dock. They are such a pair together! Jamie is fearless these days jumping off the dock even without a lifejacket. He is a fish for sure.

Sleepover

Mom and Dad had all five grandchildren in their house for much of last week while my sister was visiting. On Wednesday night, 4 of them slept over. We got a picture of 4 out 5 of them before Chad and I went home with Tristan. The older 3 slept out in the living room. It was probably not a good idea to put Sydney (who is a light sleeper) between two extremely heavy sleepers who constantly thrash around in their sleep. Carrie said Sydney woke up crying because Abby had taken residence on her pillow and had apparently hit her in the process. Carrie moved Sydney to the bottom of the bed and neither Jamie nor Abby woke up at all during all this.

Mad Scientist

I found this great book of science experiments in the dollar section at Target about a month ago. Jamie loves it! The first one, we "grew" a gummy bear by soaking it in water overnight. He had to take before and after measurements and make observations in his book. (I kinda felt like we were on an episode of Sid the Science Kid). And if you'd like to try this at home, gummy vitamins work great too!

The kids had a ball at our annual belfair camping trip. We had great weather too. There was playing in the creek, scooter and bike riding, swimming out in the canal, campfires, and more!

Abby was REALLY tired!
