10:50am, arriving in Seattle

At the airport, there was more traffic (and travelers) than we anticipated but we still had plenty of time to check-in and get thru security. The {only} awesome thing about traveling with children is that you get to go thru the priority line at the security checkpoint. So we had enough time to get lunch at the food court, then we headed out to N gate. I didn't get a chance to take any pictures for several more hours because it was just really hard to ride a plane with 3 kids as naptimes and bedtimes came and went without any sleep. We were fortunate enough that the guy who had been seated next to us was reseated by the flight attendant so that we would have an extra seat and the entire row to ourselves. This allowed us to walk around the back of the plane and get in/out of our row on either side. I spent so long to get Tristan to sleep, carrying him in the ergo and even giving him benadryl, but all he would do was take a 45 minute power-nap and then awake cranky as ever. The other two kids had fun playing with their video games or watching a movie, but Abby started to feel sick after consuming 2 whole cans of apple juice (why the flight attendant thought that was a good idea - I do not know). So I ran with her to the restroom where she vomited several times. Thankfully she didn't get anything dirty and we returned to our seats and she finally fell asleep. At 10:26pm:

This little guy is still awake and completely cracked-out (and you can see that Chad is nearly at wit's end as well):
Jamie is doing okay but you can see he is now in his pajama shorts after waiting too long to get to the bathroom, he peed in his pants. Thankfully I had thrown in some extra clothes (at the very last minute, mind you).
Hanging in there myself:
The plane was actually about an hour earlier than expected due to lack of headwind. We made it thru customs and then proceeded to buy our tickets for the green car (first class train car).12:56am (PST)
Jamie is in good spirits:
Abby is feeling better with her Dora pj's on:
I am nearing my end-point (and I did fall asleep on the train shortly after this). Wondering how Tristan could possibly still be awake.
3:45amWe made it to our stop and got off our train. Some of our fellow passengers help to literally throw our luggage from the train as we arrived since we had too much to get off before the train would go again. I helped the kids off the train as they did this.
3:50amChad's boss (and our neighbor) Matt arrives to help us back to the apartment. See the light on the top floor, that's ours!
Now in the lobby, the elevator is coming to get us and we can finally be done with this long terrible day, long 2 days really, or I missed a day in somewhere, not even sure what day it is anymore...
But no, no that is not the end of the story. The key that was given to us by travel at PSNS was not the right key. Really we have no idea what it was for as it didn't even work for that building, so it was good that Matt showed up to even let us in. At this news, we go back to his apartment, where his wife, Tish and daughter, Madison are visiting for the holidays and try to formulate a plan of attack. The landlord cannot be reached. Getting a hotel would require us to travel again. I am done, I just want to lay down, anywhere really. Another family is called and they bring us the pack-n-play that Chad left with them in Nov as well as a queen air mattress and 2 camping pads. We all turn in for the night in what was Madison's room. Tristan has to cry himself to sleep more than once. He is beyond consoling. We are beyond being able to anyways. The kids wake up at 4:30. Finally at 5:30 I allow them to get up. I feel much better after about 7 hours of sleep and am ready to do something fun but that is the next post :)
