Disney sea part 2

We were going to visit Aerial (Abby's favorite princess), but she got too frightened and I only got a picture of her with Sebastian.

Disney Sea part 1

After staying the night in our hotel in Tokyo (called the New Sanno, a U.S. govt hotel), we made our to Disney's second park called Disney Sea. First off, we had to take the Disney monorail line to get there.

You can see the Disneyland hotel out in the distance.
Everyone is ready for a new day (and we've got tons of clothes with us to battle the cold).
Tristan even has fleece pants under his jeans and like 3 shirts on under his jacket. Funny thing was that it was at least 10 degrees warmer and the sun was shining so we were shedding clothes from the get-go!

First stop was the Meditterrean harbor where we took a Venice style gondola ride.

Next we did 10,000 leagues under the sea, which was an interesting ride to say the least.
After that we went to Mermaid's Grotto, can you see King Triton in the background.

We ate our lunch here and Chad got a seafood pizza, complete with tentacles.
Ha, ha, Chad gets to do the teacups this time!!
Abby loved this place, I think she could've stayed all day :)
And there was even a place for babies and toddlers to crawl around. I didn't adjust the lighting so you could see how "purple" it was in here!

some things we like

Polly pocket princesses (Abby). Occasionally I am guilted into playing them with her (and Chad too).
Masks and vending machines. Keeps the glares away from my coughing children. And the kids love the vending.
MOGU - "FEEL CONSCIOUS" (As opposed to unconscious???) Makers of some squishy pillow things.
Decorative man-hole covers. This one is apparently for fire trucks.
Verny Park, on our walk to the Daiei. This picture was taken for comparison sake. Let's see the difference when the flowers start to bloom.
Starbucks, next to the Daiei. Menu is in English, employees speak fairly good english. Starbucks tastes like....Starbucks. What more could I want?
How about a kids play area?? Best Starbucks EVER. (Just don't go on Sundays when you won't find a place to sit.)

disneyland part 2

So while Jamie and I rode Thunder Mtn railroad, Chad took Abby and Tristan on the steamship boat ride.
and then they watched the parade:


We resorted to putting Abby's mittens on Tristan's feet, which made him look something like an ape.
Then we went to the baby center to change Tristan and make him a bottle. The best part was that it was like 80 degrees in there. I love the little baby holders they have, here you can see Tristan in one. They also had individual padded changing stations with an attendant to take your dirty diaper and throw it away!

Then we went to see Minnie's house:

and goofy's car.
After that we did the race-track. Jamie drove but I'm not sure how he saw out from under that cap? You can see he's got his thinking lips on...




Then we did the teacups where the kids made me a little sick.




Once it started to get dark we broke down and bought some cheap fleece. Disney made a killing on cheap fleece that day. Everyone had this stuff on! Abby got a Minnie cape:

Jamie got a scarf, and I got a Mickey ears hat.
After that we did mainly indoor things to defrost and stay warm like Pirates of the Carribean and the Tiki hut. Although I do have to admit that the tiki hut isn't so interesting when it's all in Japanese. After dinner Jamie and I went on space mountain and Abby and Tristan watched the electric light parade with Chad.
