Welcome home Chad

Isn't it ironic? That I post this as Chad is currently flying back to Japan? Although I must say that our separation this time is under much less stressful circumstances. There are no earthquakes, tsunamis, or nuclear meltdowns involved. I can talk to Chad on the phone or email him most days, so I think I will survive the next 13 days without him (but I still miss you!).

We were all ecstatic the day that he arrived home and I let the kids skip school and come to the airport with me to pick him up. There were lots of people waiting to pick up loved ones.



It is {was} so good to have you home Chad!!

Starbucks

I'll just say it: I LOVE STARBUCKS. Okay, it's out there. So it's a big corporation, blah, blah, blah...doesn't mean they don't make my favorite coffee, currently tall nonfat 1-pump mocha with whip. Once a week I go with two of my girlfriends while our kids are in preschool together. It makes Mondays worth looking forward to!

Two days after Chad got back, he went with me and the kids on our way to Starbucks while Jamie was in school. He was just a little jetlagged...


And by the way, what other coffee shops have highchairs???

Jamie says "you don't need Starbucks mom!" (as opposed to drip coffee)

Tristan LOVES spahetti-O's, or basically anything with a tomato sauce that consequently results in a massively huge mess. And it's not just him that gets messy. It's his highchair, and his tray, and his sippy, and even his bib got stained permanently red-orange!
