Mukilteo ferry landing

LOVE THESE SMILES :)

Tristan loves it when a train goes by.

He's holding up his airplane explaining to me that it's like the one we see landing (so neat to have Boeing Airfield nearby).

Tristan's birthday
Funny glasses made by grandma at lunchtime!
This last video is from December, the kids singing Christmas songs at church.  It's funny to see how completely UNenthused Jamie is - when everyone lifts their hands up, he does it about half way!

Tristan's 3rd birthday

Tristan was so excited about his birthday this year.  As things arrived in the mail from amazon in preparation, he was sure to tell everyone about. (His Thomas plates and tablecloth, etc.)  It was thoroughly a Thomas the train birthday!  A lot of my ideas I got off pinterest and it worked out well, because even though it looks like I went all out, it was really not that expensive as I did a lot of the work myself.
I made all cupcakes - double deckers for the kids and black bottom cupcakes for the adults.

I made the cupcake toppers too with my printer and some circle punches. The kid cupcakes were decorated with candy-coated pretzels and drizzled with white chocolate to look like candles, with a dollop of yellow frosting on top. I got the idea for the cupcakes from a Williams Sonoma cookbook.

I used painters tape to make a track on our table and placed our Thomas flashlight with tinfoil "cars" behind him.  Oreos are glued on with frosting for the wheels. I filled the tins up with chips since this was a lunch party.

I took one of the cupcake toppers without a toothpick and made it into a birthday badge for the special boy.

For lunch I served PB&honey sandwiches cutout with a train cookie cutter.  For the adults I made curry chicken salad sandwiches.

Tristan's special cupcake had real Thomas themed candles.

Mom made Thomas cookies - she really went all out on these (I knew she would which is why I asked her)!

Lunchtime!

We borrowed a ride-on Thomas from my friend for the party. We also had a kid-size track in a circle around the house, also made with painter's tape.

Cake time!

Tristan got a cool name puzzle!

Everyone wants to try out the new "flo" (his word for airplane now).
I forgot to take a pic of the party favor, which was just a train whistle and a train shaped lollipop, both items I found by searching Thomas party ideas on pinterest. Amalia told me it was the coolest party ever so guess it was a success!!

Tristan's preschool birthday

A few days before Tristan's birthday he got to have a celebration at his preschool class. He was SO excited and had lots of fun!
It's circle time - Tristan has his birthday crown on!

Shhh!

Tristan be nimble, Tristan be quick, Tristan jump over the candlestick!

Who's 3?

Tristan tries to blow out his candles.
But these are hard to blow out for some reason!  He literally says "huh?" and this whole cycle last one or two more times until his friends lean over and help him too! It was so cute!

They get practice pouring their own drink.

yummy!
