Sept recap #1 - Mariner's game

I realized that I completely skipped September in my blogging, so I'll try to catch up with the next few posts (and you'll soon realize why I didn't have any time to blog in Sept!).

First off, I took Jamie to a Mariner's game, just me and him. We sat in the outfield, behind the center-fielder. It was a very boring game, Mariner's were limited to just one hit, so Jamie had the most fun getting treats to eat, playing on the playground, and getting a foam finger at the Mariner's store.

First off, blueberry scone that we picked up at Starbucks:

Some more of those Jamie expressions:

Next was the hotdog:
I had to put on my M's visor when the sun came out:
Now onto Swedish fish:
and juice boxes:
my lunch:
rootbeer:
the incredibly over-priced foam finger:
Now since it was a Sunday game, kids could run the bases after the game was over. We waited an hour in line to do it and once we were down there, this was the only good picture I got. Apparently the lack of a nap and all the junk food made for a very tired, cranky boy that pretty muched moped around the bases instead of running and having fun. Owell, I tried.

Climbing on the big glove outside:

He's finally proud of the baseball I caught for him, once we're on the ferry. Here's the story: the top half of inning 8 ended by Franklin Guitierrez catching the ball in center field. He then proceeded to throw the ball up into the stands. It was coming right for me so I stood up and caught it (with my bare hands, no less!). I handed it to Jamie who thought that maybe we were playing catch and who tried to throw it back, but I caught him in time and stopped him from doing that! However, all eyes were on us at this point and he was extremely embarrassed and proceeded to lay on the ground and throw a fit. We had to leave for a bit and have a talk. I just couldn't get why he wasn't so grateful (I mean any kid would want this right?), and he even told me that he wanted to give it to someone else. So finally, once the drama had cleared and he and I had both settled down, he was happy to have a real ball...

Fall photos

I took some fall photos of the kids this weekend, one of them is the new main photo above, aren't they cute??

The ever adorable Abby:

Jamie and his many faces and emotions:

pumpkin patch

We went to a pumpkin patch last week with Jamie's class, they saw animals, went thru a corn maze, and got to pick out a pumpkin. Later that night, it was dad&kid time at the preschool, where they got to carve the pumpkin together (it was just for the older kids).
