Surfing and Boogie boarding

This last week we tried to get some pics of Chad and I out in the water. Chad is trying to learn how to surf his shorter board that he got. I don't really feel like getting thrashed while I learn how to surf, so I just stick with boogie-boarding.

The way Jamie sees it

Jamie is talking so much and saying so many hilarious things, that I'm going to start putting Jamie's phrase of the day in the right-hand column on the blog, under "The way Jamie sees it". Once I have a week of quotes, I'll put those in a post and start over, so that they are all saved. Here are a few from last week.

Labor Day

On Labor Day weekend, it was 95 degrees here. So on Sunday evening, we decided to go to Mission Beach at about 5:00pm. It was the busiest we have ever seen it. We couldn't find a parking spot anywhere so we finally decided to go home and come back the next day.

So the next we got up early and got out to the beach at about 9:00 am. The front parking lot was full but we got to park across the street. What we didn't count on was that Abby can just crawl away now! And she got sand on everything and everyone. Probably won't be going to the beach for the whole day anymore.

At the beginning of the day there wasn't much sand on anyone, yet.

We sat by a big hole someone had made the day before. Jamie and some other kids really enjoyed playing in it.

I know I've been bad...

...and I haven't posted much lately. Here are some pics from when Grandma and Grandpa were here. According to Jamie the "utter grandma and grandpa get here in a pew weeks". Less than 2 weeks now. Here are some pics from when my parents were here. I just downloaded a bunch of pics from my camera but I need time to organize and compress and upload and all that, but stay tuned for more posts!
