On Halloween night my sister and I took the kids to my parents house to go trick-or-treating. This is where we used to go when we were kids and my parents know most of the people so it was nice and safe. Since this was their first time trick-or-treating, Jamie thought that he was supposed to go inside when they opened the door. But he soon got the hang of it and had so much fun getting candy! I only have a few pics but go to sydkad.com (in my links) for more pictures.
Abby's birthday came and went and all she got was a free sundae at Silver City. How many one-year-olds do you think celebrate their birthday at Silver City? Well, Chad was gone and we had planned on having a party once he got back but it never happened and now it's been 3 weeks since her birthday, so I guess it's not going to happen. At least I still got plenty of pictures to scrapbook (which is what really matter right?). Here are the pictures from our trip to Silver City.
Notice how she gets progressively messier! We ordered a Cookie Monster for the rest of us...
Here are the pics from the Seaside Halloween Party. My sister and I brought our kids down to the party at about 6:00 pm. They had a lot fun trying to win candy and prizes!
Abby looking cute...
Sweet zebra...
Attempted group shot...
Ring toss..
Sydney quickly figures out that it is easier to put the rings on the bottles herself.
This is Jamie on the cake (cookie/candy) walk. He didn't ever really get that you had to win to get the candy. He just thought you walked around in a circle and then went to pick out something from the prize table. The funny thing was that his number was normally called anyways so it all worked out! Carrie's been stung! Cute zebra rump...
This weekend there was an online crop with a club that I belong to, PersonalScrapper.com. They list challenges and as you complete them, you are entered into a drawing for a prize (more scrapbooking supplies). I've never posted my layouts on the blog, so I thought I'd share the ones I made this weekend for the crop, since I already have them scanned in.
Here's what the journaling says on the top layout:
7:30 am – squawk until mom gets me my morning ba-ba
8:00 am – stretch, yawn, time to get up and watch baby einstein while mommy takes a shower. Sometime I get bored and would rather play with the buttons on the t.v. causing my brother to yell at me, but I don’t care, cuz I can yell louder than him anyways.
8:30 am – breakfast time! Eggs, toast, kix, cheerios, juice, and fruit are all yummy things.
9:00 am – I don’t really care if I’m sticky but apparently mom does because about this time every morning she assaults me with a waving, wet washcloth.
9:30 am – I scream until ma-ma is done changing me and getting me dressed. Why doesn’t she give in and just let me go naked?
10:30 am – After playing for awhile I feel very tired so I go find mom for some more milk and she lays me down to sleep.
Noon – Lunch time! Chicken nuggets, PB&J, raisins, and crackers are some of the things I like to eat for lunch.
2:30 pm – Naptime again? I will try to resist, but the warm milk just puts me to…
3:30 pm – Okay, ready to play again and I get all the toys to myself because big brother is sleeping! Time to wreck his trains!
4:20 pm – Daddy’s home! Hugs & Kisses.
6:00 pm – Dinner time! I never know what I’ll get but I’ll try it, and I’ll try to eat with a fork, because…I’m a big girl!
7:30-7:31 pm – Story time! Heck with this, I want to look at the book the way I want to look at it, this page, no…this page!
These are pictures from our favorite mall, La Jolla UTC (University Town Center). They have a little play area for kids and even a little train that they can ride on for a small fee.
One of the last nights there we got chinese food from a place call Pick Up Sticks (why are all the good restaurants in california?). Jamie had fun trying to use the chopsticks but I don't think he understood that they were for eating!
