Thanksgiving

We had the Cerveny family over for Thanksgiving this year. I bought a pasta roller attachment for my kitchen aid so that I could make homemade lasagna noodles. I did a trial run on Tuesday before Thanksgiving so that I knew exactly what to do ahead of time. It worked out great and the lasagna was delish! Myra made a big Italian salad and we had lots of bread (which was about all the kids ate, besides the desserts, except Isaac, who is a carnivore and ate all the meat out of the lasagna). Anyways, it was fun, maybe not so relaxing, but still fun. And I'm pretty sure the kids had fun playing together. I didn't get any pictures of me rolling the pasta, maybe next time.

making cookies and stuff

Making Cookies
Jamie has found that he loves to help me make cookies or anything that might involve dumping ingredients. I think it is mainly so he can 1) stand on a chair without getting in trouble, and 2) lick everything off the counter, out of the bowl, etc. He even likes flour, gross. I got some pasteurized eggs from the store so that it is safe to eat the cookie dough. Apparently they are quickly boiled, but they look pretty normal to me when you crack them open.

Gotta taste!

Dumping them in...

Finger is going for the dip..
Mmmm!

Dishwasher dilemma

Abby found out that she could crawl onto the dishwasher door. Jamie did this once too when he was her age, except that the top rack was shut, which it a lot easier for him to sit there. I was not aware that she had done this until I hear "uhh, uhh" and some whines, so I look over and there she was! She'd put her head way down to get away from the rack, and just when she thought it was maybe gone, she lift her head back up and hit it again. She did this sequence several times, until I just got her out.

Trying to escape from the top rack...

Oh no, it's still there!
Brother comes in to see the commotion...

ahh, mom help!

maybe, just put my head to the side...

yeah, I'm free!

a long time ago...

in a galaxy far, far away...Okay it seems like it's been forever, at least, these pics are forever old. Anyways, last month we went to my cousin's housewarming party in Seattle and I got a video and some pictures of the kids playing on the ferry.

walking lessons...

at least it was only my sister sitting behind us...

self-portrait practice...

crazy Sydney...

why is her mouth still open?

How cute! I tried to get them to hold hands, but they wouldn't...

Abby liked looking out the window...

Just so you know, Jamie did get in trouble for that. Or at least, he had to say sorry and give Sydney a hug, because what the heck was I going to do in the middle of the ferry?!
