Scrapbooking cruise 10/10/10

Before too much time passes by, I wanted to share with you my cruise pictures. I didn't take a lot of pictures because I was having too much fun, and I'm still waiting for a few from a friend (like the ones of me dancing in the pool - don't ask, or do). If you want to see Carrie's pictures, click here and go to My Cruise Trip. Carrie and I had a lot of great sister time and I hope to be able to do it again someday.

Departing Port Canaveral:

At Coco Cay in the Bahamas:

this is where I got stung by a jellyfish:

We visited the Crypt nightclub a few times. At first I didn't think I'd like it since it had been over 10 years since I'd been to a club, but Carrie convinced me to go and I actually had a really fun time. Too bad there's nowhere in kitsap!

At sea:

St. Maartin, Virgin Islands:

The Quest gameshow, an in-your-seat type of scavenger hunt, which was a lot of fun:
Our favorite place to sunbathe was on the back of the ship where it wasn't crowded, not too windy, and you had a great view of the ocean:

Our second formal night at dinner:

Here is the cruise log that I kept on my ipod:

mariner's game

Last month, we took the older kids to a Mariner's game. We thought they would enjoy the extra attention without us having to take care of the baby, but instead they kept asking where Tristan was (we tried, right?). We got hot cocoa, took the ferry, found free parking (yeah!), walked to the game, grabbed some hotdogs, then took our seats. Unfortunately, you could tell that Abby was not feeling so well. I ended up holding her on my lap most of the time, and instead of running around the bases at the end of the game, Chad carried her back to the car. But the Mariner's did win (amazing!) and Jamie had fun running the bases. The only thing he didn't care for was the red Key character from Keybank that was high-fiving kids between 2nd and 3rd base. Since he was a bit concerned, I told him to ignore it. Once he was done, he proudly told me "mom, I just ignored the key guy!" Ahh, that's my boy :)

some random videos

Tristan playing on mom's car thingy:

Jamie's dance moves:

Okay, Jamie really likes to dance for the camera, don't tell him I cut this one short!

anniversary trip

Bell Harbor. My favorite, close-to-home getaway. This year we took the 22 catalina sailboat, which we are now sharing with 2 other partners. We invested in some foam and material and my mom so graciously has been sewing us covers for the cushions. Since I told Chad that I would go on a trip with him once he got cushions, I kinda had to. Actually it was really fun. There is no galley on board so I don't have to feel bad about eating every meal out. And the boat is small so it's easy to get on and off of. Chad can sail by himself and I can read while only occasionally pulling on a line. These are good things. I actually like the boat.

Sailing on the other hand is another story. It's fine and all but I really only see it as a means to get somewhere. Somewhere fun. Somewhere to shop. Somewhere to eat. Somewhere. Not circles around in the bay. And that's my story.

We spent a lot of time in Starbucks on our iPods (okay, we're dorks):

We made our own cheese festival (since the one at Benaroya Hall was $80/person):

The city:
12 years!
I love this shot, good job Chad!
and this one's cool too:
sailing, sailing, sailing...not in circles this time:

kids will like this one but you may want to fast forward to the 30-sec mark as it starts off a bit slow:
