My bday!

I can't believe I'm 35. Ugg. Well, at least I had a nice birthday weekend!

Tristan and I went out to lunch earlier in the week to use my bday coupon.

We split a california chicken pizza.
I got my haircut on my birthday!

When Chad got home on Friday I opened my presents.

Abby insisted we wrap everything even though they were already in boxes from Amazon.

I got an espresso machine!
Chad and I went out Friday night while the kids stayed at my parents.  We went shopping at the Vintage Market where I got some new "beachy" signs and then we ate at Fondi's in Gig Harbor (one of my faves).
The next morning I did my first 5k!

A remake of our finish (the camera had no card in it) - we ran the whole way and finished in 36 minutes.
Later that night we went to Silver City for dinner.

And then had red velvet cupcakes for dessert!

Summer's last hoorah

Schoools back in session, but with weather still in the 70's and 80's (warmer than it was in June), we decided to spend a day at the lake one last time before it got too cold. And actually, it was already a bit too cold for my liking but I still had fun hanging out in the sun and watching the kids play.
Tristan pushes in Chad.

push!

He gets a kick out of it :)

Tristan is getting braver in the water.

Day out with Thomas 2012

The last 2 years, Day out with Thomas has been a father-daughter day with Chad and Abby. But seeing how much Tristan loves Thomas now, Chad couldn't not take him this year. He said that Tristan was a bit shy at first, but totally loved it!
Tristan had to wear his Thomas shirt and his Thomas backpack

They got some tattoos.

and rode the train that Thomas was pulling!

Photo ops with Thomas

So brave to stand with Sir Thopam Hat (my kids are so scared of characters!)

Having fun!

Lunch at Snoqualmie Brewery across the street.

Bouncy house!

Coloring :)

Oh no, too bright!

Look Dad, it's Thomas!

Kalaloch family reunion

It was so nice to go back to Kalaloch this year. We hadn't been there since four years ago, and that time we were severely rained-out. We had no rain this time and both full days that we were there were warm and beautiful down on the beach. The kids had so much fun and I think the adults had a lot of fun too! I started running with my sister and I've been doing it ever since :)
Tristan and his trike.

Eatin breakfast!

Tristan did this.

Sassy 7-year old.

We drew Tristan roads with chalk.  He funny about not wanting to step on them.

The kids paint rocks and sticks.

So cute!

Uncle Jon buries Abby.

So sandy!

So much fun!

So pretty!

Another beautiful girl in the family :)

Look at these wise guys!
