Harvest Party

Seaside hosted another Halloween party. Abby and I had just got back from Houston that day (which you can find pics of our Houston visit under Sydkad's blog), but we did manage to make it. I ran out to Old Navy and found Abby a $5 princess costume and Jamie decided he wanted to be the zebra again from last year. The kids had lots of fun playing games and of course eating candy!

Halloween night

On Halloween night, Chad took the kids downtown to trick-or-treat at the stores (and to visit Fritz, Chad said he was the only parent to stop and have a beer). The kids enjoyed some candy when they got home:

Jamie and Pat sing "wanted dead or alive", by Bon Jovi together. Pat would sing a line and then Jamie would "repeat" after him. Sometimes it was really funny what Jamie would come up with:



Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa boat's for popcorn balls and more candy! Here's our pumpkins that we carved a few days before Halloween:

My birthday

well, I kinda forgot to blog about my birthday because we left the day of for Kauai, and by the time we got back it was old news!

We had ribs for dinner and coldstone cake for dessert, yum-o! (There's my Rachel-Ray impression for you.)


The funniest part of the night was when I tried on the wig that Chad had bought me in Korea (don't ask me why - I think he had some "other" visions in his head - LOL!). Needless to say, I didn't look so hot in it, actually I looked downright scary, and that's what the kids thought too. In fact, I had tried it on a few days prior for the first time and when Jamie walked in the room, he looked at me then immediately crawled under our bed, not to come out for at least 10 minutes. Abby walked in the room and just stared at me while backing up into the hallway. I picked her up and she actually leaned towards dad for her to take him which is a first for her! The kids were not impressed when I put it on this time too, in fact Abby started crying when my dad tried it on! I asked Jamie if I should wear it for halloween and he said, " no it's scary". Well, take a look for yourself...

A few days before Halloween, Jamie's preschool had a little Halloween party where the kids could dress up the day if they wanted. Jamie went as a zebra, except that he wouldn't put his hood up! I stayed for a bit to take some pictures and even had the honor of taking the school group photo! Abby loved that we got to stay a bit longer because she got to play too.
