OB has this really cool Farmer's Market that we love to go to on Wednesday evenings. We usually get food to eat for dinner (everything from tamales, empanadas, ribbon fries, to African and Greek cuisine). Oh, and there's the salted caramel chocolates - yum! We also love to get some fresh produce too, we got the best carrots and oranges. One time the kids went in the bounce house, but as soon as Jamie started bouncing, Abby got scared and decided she didn't like it. There were also llama rides, but I couldn't convince her to do those either.
All about the happenings at our {big} little house here on the westside.

Lowe's kid workshop
Since both our husbands had to work on Saturday, Sarah and I took the kids to the Lowe's "build and grow" workshop. It is a free activity for the kids, with a different thing to build each week. They also got to get free aprons, goggles, and a patch for completing the project. They had a fun time, but Jamie decided that he didn't want to carry his project the long distance back to the car {okay, the car was right there, I'm being sarcastic}, and the hard work that we both put into making his was lost :(

more pool fun
Since we got here the pool has been the #1 thing for Jamie to do. We've gotten some great play time lately with some other kids in the pool and now Jamie tells me he doesn't want to go swimming anymore! He says he's tired of his feet getting all scraped up (he's not careful when he jumps in and ends up scraping his feet against the bottom of the pool). But besides that, you tell that both the kids have been having a great time:

I only got a few videos of the kids playing together, but Sarah (Tulip's mom) got some great pictures that you can view over at her blog post here

Zoo and mini railroad
We got our membership to the San Diego the first weekend we were here and took my dad with us. We had a great time, although were surprised at how busy it was for a weekend in April! As we left we also visited the Balboa Park mini-railroad, always a favorite with the kids.
This is what Tristan did most of the day:

I have no idea what this was about, does dad belong in the zoo?
Love our joovy stroller!
The lizard in the photo is fake, just a decoration, but I don't think the turtle knew that...
The new elephant exhibit is huge!
And there are some weird elephant statues...
The petting zoo:

Having fun in the children's zoo:

And of course the tram ride:

This snake was coming right up to the window!
We love grandpa!!! (I miss all the dishes and laundry you did :)
