Spring Break boat trip to Eagle Harbor

Since Spring Break started out with such beautiful weather and Chad had just gotten back from working in Everett (literally the day before), we couldn't help but go on a family outing on the boat. (The boat had been largely unused by most of the family for the winter - a fact that drives Chad crazy.) Personally I'd rather leave him somewhat crazy than freeze my little hiney off. So anyways, we had never spent the night at Eagle Harbor before (downtown Bainbridge), so that is where we headed off to.

I'm just surprised we haven't had to fish out Tristan yet.

When we told Tristan that he proceeded to grab a whole hotdog and threw it in the water exclaiming "fishy - yum yum!"

We found the Pegasus coffee bar/cafe and it is awesome!!!

Definitely a place to we to go to for a date (they are open late with live music).

Tristan gets jealous that JJ and wo-wo (Jamie and Abby) get to take lunch boxes to school so I made him his own lunch one day.

Abby's first lost tooth. Jamie was super sweet - he was concerned that the tooth fairy might forget and offered to put a dollar under her pillow!

There is a company that sells fun lunches at local schools for holidays but I missed the cutoff for signing up - instead I made them my own version of a St. Patty's Day lunch (which was really just green themed).

Park adventures

Often times we go to the school to use their playground after hours. Abby was showing me how she practices the bars and I told her about how I used to do them all the time when I was her age. Then I thought I'd show her to do it (note to self: not so easy 30 years later!). I tried and tried and could not get all the way around! Jamie tried too - it was quite the crack up for all of us :)

North Olympic Discovery Half Marathon

Well, after 4 months of training, I completed my first half marathon yesterday. It wasn't easy, by no means, but 2 hours 26 minutes and 52 seconds after crossing the start line, I came to that final step at the finish line. I had hoped for a better time but so many things that were out of my control - warmer weather than usual, steeper and hillier course than anticipated, no tunes from my phone for most of the course, and an upset stomach all worked together to slow me down. Fortunately, this is my first one and I am happy to have just accomplished my goal of finishing!
